We require that our members adhere to a high degree of ethical and professional conduct and take all complaints seriously.
We have a membership committee that evaluates all listed service providers before acceptance and we have a regular schedule for rechecks.
We use a variety of methods to evaluate new members for trustworthiness and competence. Where able, we make inquiries of a state’s consumer protection division of a provider’s good standing and they must be insured and licensed (where applicable) as well as having verified technical competence.
This service locator is a public service of and free to use and free to be listed.
Be cautious of service referral sites for consumer repair. Just because they have names like “appliance pros” or “tv repairman” in their website’s name or come up in search engines, does not mean that they are members of the professional service provider industry and may allow anyone to be listed for a fee, similar to the old yellow pages.
Also, we recommend you avoid ANY referral web site that asks for a fee from you.
We are looking for you every bit as hard as you are looking for us!
Why pay for it?
